About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer who can turn complex enterprise processes into clear, intuitive experiences. You’ll work closely with our design, product, engineering, and leadership teams to shape how customers understand, navigate, and use Shamrock’s enterprise AI platform.

This is a hands-on role with a strong UX focus, spanning product workflows, reusable design systems, interactive prototypes, and website experiences. You should be equally comfortable mapping a business process, questioning an unnecessary step, and refining the details of a polished interface.

Why You’ll Love Working at Shamrock:

+ Meaningful design problems: Make sophisticated enterprise AI capabilities accessible to the people who use them.

+ Direct ownership: Influence product experiences and establish design patterns that grow with the company.

+ Close collaboration: Work directly with decision-makers and colleagues across India and California.

+ Visible impact: See your work move from exploration to implementation in a fast-moving team.

What You’ll Do:

+ Translate complex business processes into intuitive user journeys, information architecture, and task flows that reduce unnecessary navigation and make the next action clear

+ Build and maintain scalable UX frameworks and design systems in Figma, including reusable components, interaction patterns, design tokens, and documentation.

+ Design enterprise interfaces for data exploration, workflow execution, AI-assisted decisions, approvals, and exception handling.

+ Make trust visible in the experience: help users understand an AI recommendation, inspect its sources, identify uncertainty, and approve or correct an action.

+ Create wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes using Figma and AI-assisted design workflows, including Claude.

+ Design purposeful transitions, micro-interactions, and responsive UI states, including loading, empty, error, and success experiences.

+ Create supporting visual assets in Photoshop or Illustrator, including icons, diagrams, logos, and website graphics, while maintaining brand consistency.

+ Partner with engineers through implementation, providing clear specifications and reviewing the finished experience for usability and visual quality.

Background That Maps Well:

+ Experience designing enterprise AI tools, SaaS platforms, analytics dashboards, or complex operational software.

+ Familiarity with knowledge graphs, data observability, governance, ERP/SAP workflows, or business process automation.

+ Experience designing human review and approval flows, role-based experiences, audit histories, and interfaces that explain AI outputs.

+ Experience with Wix, including custom elements, embeds, or Velo, and AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code.

+ Ability to design clear visualizations of relationships, dependencies, and process states.

+ Experience measuring design outcomes through task completion, time on task, error reduction, adoption, or customer feedback.

Portfolio Expectations:

Include a portfolio link with examples of both your UX thinking and finished UI work, clearly identifying your contribution to each project.

+ UX case studies: Show the original problem, research or supporting evidence, user journeys, wireframes, key decisions, and how the experience evolved.

+ UI design examples: Include finished screens and component designs that demonstrate strong typography, spacing, visual hierarchy, responsive behavior, and a clean, modern aesthetic.

+ Interactive work: Share clickable prototypes, live websites, or short walkthroughs demonstrating navigation, transitions, microinteractions, and important interface states.

+ Complex workflow design: Include an example of how you made a multistep process easier to understand and complete, ideally within an enterprise or B2B product.

+ Design systems & implementation: Where available, show reusable components, documented interaction patterns, and how your designs translated into a shipped experience.

The Stack:

+ UX frameworks & design systems: Figma and FigJam for research synthesis, journey mapping, wireframes, reusable components, and interface design.

+ Interactive prototyping & web experiences: Figma and Framer for responsive prototypes, transitions, microinteractions, and interactive website modules.

+ AI-assisted design & development: Claude, Claude Code, and comparable AI tools for exploring concepts, building functional prototypes, and supporting implementation.

+ Website implementation: Wix, with Velo, custom elements, or embeds where appropriate; HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for custom interactions and integrations.

+ Visual design & assets: Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for icons, diagrams, logos, and supporting graphics.

+ Research & validation: Usability testing, session recordings, and product analytics tools selected for the project.

Compensation & Logistics:

Salary: TBD
Equity: Early-stage equity grant

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of UX/UI or product design experience, with a strong portfolio of shipped digital products and meaningful experience designing enterprise or B2B software.

  • Deep UX foundations: Strong command of user research, information architecture, interaction design, usability testing, and translating business requirements into user-centered experiences.

  • Process thinking: Ability to understand workflows, dependencies, user roles, and exceptions before designing screens. You simplify tasks while preserving necessary context, controls, and approvals.

  • Advanced Figma proficiency: Hands-on experience with Auto Layout, components, variants, variables, responsive layouts, interactive prototyping, and maintaining design systems.

  • Strong UI judgment: A clean, minimal, modern visual approach supported by excellent typography, spacing, hierarchy, consistency, and attention to detail.

  • AI-assisted design fluency: Comfortable using Claude and similar tools to explore concepts, generate working prototypes, and accelerate iteration, with the judgment to evaluate and refine their output.

  • Visual asset creation: Proficiency in Photoshop and/or Illustrator, including creating and exporting production-ready assets.

  • Accessibility and responsive design: Ability to design for keyboard navigation, readable contrast, clear focus states, and different screen sizes.

  • Implementation awareness: Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript sufficient to collaborate with engineers, assess feasibility, and review AI-generated interface code.

  • Clear communication and ownership: Ability to explain design decisions, incorporate feedback, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work within short turnaround times.

  • Time-zone flexibility: Availability for regular evening or late-evening collaboration in India to overlap with California-based managers and teammates on Pacific Time, with agreed working hours.
